Garmin's Foretrex 301 and 401 navigators are like pixilated breadcrumbs
This is very cool. "Get lost easy do ya? Then you'll find Garmin's new Foretrex 301 and Foretrex 401 navigators handier on the switchbacks than a sack full of Wonder "bread." These wrist-worn GPS navigators feature a rugged, waterproof design and the ability to store up to 500 waypoints and 20 routes that'll help keep you from getting lost in the great outdoors:

Dancing Traffic Cop
This cop has moves! Rhode Island traffic cop Tony Lepore gets down and funky directing motorists. Question is; does anyone understand his hand gestures?

Belkin's Gigabit Powerline Adapter
Belkin's claiming its new Gigabit Powerline HD Starter Kit adapters can outpace the current 200Mbps standard speed of most other powerline devices (not all of them, mind you) by five fold. Of course, the caveat here is that the touted 1000Mbps is under ideal settings, and there's no telling what other network traffic, interference, or problematic wiring could lower that figure -- still, assuming all conditions are sound; we're talking some hefty numbers for an HD streaming network run via your home's electrical system.

Scary Landings
This is Funchal Airport's runway, in the Island of Madeira. It was one of the most dangerous in the world because its runway was just too short for large airplanes. It had to be extended and engineers had two options: Extend the ground base with extra soil and concrete, or build a platform on top of 180 230-foot pillars. The answer just looks spectacular.
