Like most people, I am concerned about Internet security; although not to the point of being paranoid about it. I don't like Internet Security suites because they try to do too much and clog up more computer operations than they help. I've tried most of the big names and they were truly awful, especially Symantec's. I now use VIPRE and Comodo's BO Clean and that's it. I do manual updates once a day. I don't want these programs constantly running (other than protecting the computer) and checking the Internet for updates. This was very frustrating for my wife as she would try to do something on her computer and one program or another (especially when we had Norton) would interfere.
So we both have VIPRE and Comodo. I had Bit-Defender and it was very good but when you offered the $9.95 deal, I couldn't resist. I do have other programs and cleaners that I use so we keep our computers as clean as possible. We run CCcleaner daily and we use Malwarebytes and SuperAntiSpyware every so often. I use the Ultimate Troubleshooter to detect what's running. I also have a router to help protect us. We have very few problems and nothing we can't usually correct.
